The initial process of making a potpourri or cheap perfume begin with the dyring. First gather some petals or plants based on the smell and color that you want and then lay the flowers and other ingredient all out on a cloth. Turn the ingredients every now and them to make sure they dry up properly. The process ends when the flowers and the leaves are all crisp and also dry. The flowers are not hard to dry but it might take up to 2 full weeks sometimes. After the flowers are dried, you can then transfer the dried flower to a jar or container for the next process.
There are different ways to blend different type of aroma. If you wish for something more exotic, you will have use more spices than flowers or flowers that has some sort of strong smell like the hibiscus and myrtle. By adding some cinnamon or wood oil to the finishing, you are ensuring that the smell will be even more exotic.
